Ardent and JCB seal £40 million equipment order

Ardent Hire Solutions has ordered 700 machines from JCB

PLANT giants Ardent Hire Solutions is buying 700 JCB machines in a deal worth more than £40 million.

The Middlesex-headquartered firm is purchasing Loadall telehandlers and rough terrain forklift trucks as it looks to increase its share of the UK hire market.

Ardent Hire Solutions was established last year from the merger of Fork Rent and One Call Hire. It currently trades from 12 depots and provides over 5,000 units for rent.

Dan Thompstone, JCB UK and Ireland sales director said, “This investment continues a long-standing relationship between JCB, Fork Rent and One Call Hire. It is a massive deal and with the bulk of the order for JCB Loadall telehandlers, it represents the biggest deal this year for that product anywhere in the world.”

Tom Gleeson, Ardent Hire Solutions commercial director added, We are committed to invest in the best, most technologically advanced machines for our customers offering far superior products then any of our competitors.”

The machines are being supplied through Leicestershire-based JCB dealer Watling JCB.
