Blue Group has announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Major Wire, Canadian-based manufacturers of high vibration wire screen media.

Major Wire, which was founded in 1884, manufactures screens which are sold throughout the world from its Montreal headquarters. Products include the Flex-Mat, described as a high vibration wire screen media which Blue said has “proven to increase efficiency in more than 35,000 applications across the world”.

The “secret” behind this are individual wires, which are able to vibrate independently. These wires are held in place by green polyurethane strips and are said to vibrate between 6,000 and 10,000 cycles per minute. Blue Group added that this is up to 13 times greater than a standard screenbox.

André Mathieu, VP Global Business Development at Major Wire said, “We take great pride in working closely with our dealers. Our aim is to jointly assist customers achieve and ultimately surpass their production goals. Blue are an ideal partner for us as their strong customer focus will allow us to achieve that objective within the UK market.”

Major Wire will be distributed via Blue Group’s spares facility. Blue Spares technical manager, Lee Holman added, “This agreement with one of the world’s leading screen media manufacturers, is great news for Blue. We are always looking at ways to better serve our customers and this will be another opportunity to help them increase their productivity and lower their costs.”
