The Apprentice of the Year Shield was handed over to Declan Gunn of Hewden Plant Hire (see image, left) at the annual dinner of the Contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers (CMPE) on 8 November. It was presented by John Longmuir (right), national chairman, and John McGrath (left), chairman, of the CMPE. The top table line-up (below) included 80s football luminary Jim Leishman.
