Screw driving system deployed by US firm

Evana

EVANA Automation Specialists, a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI), has delivered a custom screw driving system to a prominent U.S. construction products manufacturer.

The system automates the assembly of modular aluminum fencing, which drastically reduces manual labour and increases quality assurance. The system incorporates innovative, flexible tooling and a Motoman robot to simultaneously drive multiple screws to specified torque/depth.
“Evana’s automated assembly systems can help manufacturers in virtually any industry,” said Randy Wire, General Manager of the company, a systems integrator and a builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems.
Evana specialises in motion control, robotics integration and system architecture by linking production equipment, material handling systems, data collection, networking, as well as computer hardware and software into flexible, unified technology. Test equipment can be integrated into assembly systems, stand alone systems for automatic testing, or manual test benches.
