AN order of more than £6.5 million of JCB machinery will help stock Buckhurst Specialist Plant’s new depot in Aberdeen.

The deal includes a fleet of 25 backhoe loaders and 100 JCB Loadall telescopic handlers. Buckhurst runs 2000 machines in total from its bases in West Lothian, Lancashire, Leeds and the new Aberdeen premises.
Chairman John Walsh said, “We feel it is the right time to make this sizeable investment and capitalise on the definite upturn we have seen in groundworks projects as more and more new build sites appear.
“The new machines expand our nationwide fleet and will also increase our presence in the Scottish Highlands – stocking our recently opened site in Aberdeen.
“The Loadalls ensure we have a modern fleet with the latest innovations.
“We are one of the few companies in our sector to have ridden the storm and actually grown over the last five years – by guaranteeing our customers great service along with reliable, state-of-the-art equipment. This order for the latest JCB technology will only help reinforce that promise.”
In total the deal includes: 25 backhoe loaders and 100 Loadall telescopic handlers ranging from 5 to 20 metres lift heights. All the machines apart from several 520-50 Agri Loadalls are powered by JCB’s award-winning EcoMAX Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim diesel engine.
