CONSTRUCTION operators from Europe, the Middle East and CIS will battle it out in what has been dubbed the toughest operator challenge on earth: the Cat® Operator Challenge.

From 22-25 September, the Caterpillar Visitor and Learning Centre in Leicester will become the stage for the major international competition. The competitors’ skills will be tested and scored across a range of equipment, from Cat mini-excavators to articulated trucks.
The finest operators from the UK, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey first compete in qualifying local and national events. This time, the qualifying heats are tougher than ever and only the top 30 operators from the 13 participating countries will reach the finals where their skills in safety, accuracy, versatility and use of technology will be put to the test.
Herwig Peschl, Caterpillar Construction Industries Global Marketing Manager, said, “The Cat Challenge is a celebration of the great precision and skills operators demonstrate.”
