GAP Group has announced the company is fully registered as a supplier on the Achillies First Point Assessment Database (FPAL).

As a registered supplier of FPAL, GAP is now qualified to supply products and services to the oil and gas sector. This accreditation is expected to create new business opportunities for the company as this is an industry that has not traditionally been targeted by GAP.

FPAL is a community used by major buying organisations within the oil & gas sector which enables them to use the Achilles’ proven supplier pre-qualification system to identify, pre-qualify and assess suppliers for tender opportunities and minimise risk within their supply chains.

GAP went through a long audit process of several months to receive this specialist accreditation and sees it as a vital part of their growth strategy which will also help to develop collaborative customer and supplier relationships.  Malcolm Campbell, Health & Safety Manager at GAP said, “This certification will help GAP reach a worldwide network community through supply chain/procurement activities.  It will provide greater transparency of information and also help strengthen our relationship with customers”.

Achillies is a global leader in supplier management programmes, working with around 800 of the world’s largest buyers and 90,000 key suppliers. The organisation was set up to help create business solutions with buyers and suppliers.  The FPAL accreditation helps demonstrate to customers, suppliers and all those involved, that their operational activities are fully compliant with Achillies.
