Hewden’s commitment to occupational health and safety has been recognised with the hire firm picking up a Gold Medal at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015.

The award is issued to a select few companies across multiple industries that demonstrate ‘Gold level standards’ for a minimum of five consecutive years. Hewden has now achieved seven consecutive years.

Susan Shardlow, risk and compliance director at Hewden, said, “As a business we work tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers is at the centre of everything we do. We pride ourselves on being the safest hire firm to do business with and this award acts as a testament to that.”

The annual awards scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will be presented during a ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel on September 17.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said, “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Hewden, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
