SANDVIK has sealed a distributor agreement with Qmatec Drilling AS to offer UK-based customers the “full range” of the Norwegian firm’s specialised drilling solutions.
The deal covers the sales, aftermarket and service of Qmatec Rig Solutions in the UK, which will be provided by Sandvik Mining and Construction. Sandvik said the move allows them to add “a significant range of DTH (down-the-hole) drill rigs to their offering”.
Qmatec Drilling has been manufacturing drill rigs commonly used for foundation, waterwell and energy drilling since 1966, formerly under the name Nemek Drill Rigs. Qmatec Drilling took over the production of Nemek drill rigs in 2007.
