LIEBHERR has reported the highest revenue in the firm’s history in 2015, with sales exceeding €9.2 billion.

Provisional figures show revenue from construction machinery and mining products increased by 6.4% to €5,631 million. This includes earthmoving, mining, mobile cranes, tower cranes and concrete technology divisions.

In other divisions, revenue increased by 2.5% to €3,617 million.

Liebherr said sales declined in Eastern Europe and Africa but increased in the Middle East, the Far East, Australia and in America. The most important region remains Western Europe, where revenue was “largely unchanged” from the previous year.

More than 1000 new employees brought the total number of employees within the Group to around 42,0000. Liebherr also announced that investments were made last year totalling €746 million.

The company said final figures for 2015 will be announced in June.
