A Hewden crane has helped capture what is believed to be the “world’s tallest selfie”.

The hire firm used its 70-tonne Tadano crane for the shot of revellers at CarFest North in Cheshire.

Hewden said it mounted a remote controlled GoPro camera to the tip of its 68 metre tall crane mast, taking the amazing snap of hundreds of people.

Jeff Schofield, sales director at Hewden Events, said, “CarFest is a fantastic family event, which helps raise money for Children In Need.

“This was a great way for us to get involved and use our equipment in a fun and engaging way. The picture was amazing. I’m just glad nobody blinked.”
