ROTOTILT has launched a direct company division in the UK to serve the growing tiltrotator market.

The Scandinavian-based manufacturer said the firm’s products have been “very well received” in the UK since starting its journey in this part of the world two years ago with the appointment of distributors Tiltrotators-UK.

Rototilt said it is now time to take the “next step” with the introduction of its own UK organisation, which will be headed up by sales manager Malcolm Long.

Malcolm told Project Plant he sees a “massive opportunity” for Rototilt in the UK. “I’ve been involved in attachments for the last ten years and, over the years, I’ve noticed more and more questions about tiltrotators,” he said. “People are starting to get switched on to having to do more with their piece of equipment. People don’t have multiple machines and are trying to do a lot more with less. The benefits and advantages a tiltrotator can offer in terms of time, cost and importantly – safer methods of work – is massive.  I’ve had more people asking about tiltrotators over the last few years than anything else.

“Compared to Scandinavia, we’re still miles off. The UK market represents a massive opportunity.”

Malcolm confirmed Rototilt hopes to have dedicated UK premises established sometime next year. He also believes the Scottish market will play an important role and said the positive response to tiltrotators at ScotPlant this year was “overwhelming”.

“There’s been a long-standing relationship with Rototilt and Ken Malcolm Equipment,” he explained. “We’re continuing that relationship and looking to assist with these growing opportunities. They will give us a local presence and the ability to get in and see people on a regular basis. From our point of view, we need those strategic partners to be able to offer that service and support to our customers.”
