Thirteen is the lucky number for GAP and Wacker Neuson after dumper deal

GAP has added to its fleet of swivel skip dumpers with the purchase of thirteen new 1.5 tonne machines from Wacker Neuson.

The Glasgow-based hire firm’s head of procurement, Ken Stewart, revealed they’d spotted a ‘gap’ in the fleet of this particular size of dumper following a customer request. He added, “We initially purchased one dumper for evaluation and both the customer and ourselves were impressed with the swivel skip which allows for 180-degree tipping; ideal for limited and confined spaces, and the hydrostatic twin-lock all-wheel drive system.

“The dumper also offered good service access for easy maintenance which is a key consideration for our national network of depot workshops. Following evaluation, we purchased an additional 12 dumpers which are now out on long term hires.

“We have an excellent relationship with Wacker Neuson and they were able to supply the equipment at relatively short notice from their production facility in Austria.”
